CURRICULUM
Introduction to the curriculum
The trigger point for curriculum reforms was the standards put forward by world Federation for Medical Education (WFME) and PM&DC for implementation. For that purpose, a new department of Medical Education was established. A college curriculum Committee (CCC) was formed in 2017 to start working on converting the old archaic curriculum of 1913 to an integrated one. The committee developed modules for year 1 – 5. For each module, there is a Module Director amongst the senior faculty members responsible for managing the module, allocations of venues, assessment of the module and evaluation. The modules have been spiraled in year 3 and 4, and then in year 5, which is the year of clinical clerkship.
An overview of the whole curriculum of KMC, presented in the form of modules in different years is given in the table below:
