I am Dr. Iqbal Haider, an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Khyber Medical College, Peshawar. I hold an FCPS in Medicine and an MHPE from KMU. Currently, I serve as the Associate Dean of Research at KMC and Chairperson of the Postgraduate Curriculum Evaluation and Development Committee. Additionally, I am the Director of the Grand CPC at KMC/KTH, where I strive to advance medical education, research, and clinical excellence.
Wahab Zia

I’m Wahab Zia, Class of 2025 at Khyber Medical College. I’ve been active in research, presenting at conferences, and committees like the Students Research Committee and Society of Arts and Literature, where I directed plays and performed. I’ve passed USMLE Step 1 and am pursuing a U.S. medical residency, blending my passion for medicine and research.

I’m Ahmed Abdullah, class of 2028 at Khyber Medical College. I’ve pioneered a few projects, including the Lincoln-Douglas Debates and organizing the Khyber Diplomats Summit. Ehtisham Wali Khan

Ehtisham Wali this side, classs of 2028. I have been a part of the KMC Debates club as the Deputy Secretary, Core Team member at the KMC-SIG and a part of Team Media at SRC and associated with the Literary Society. I have a keen interest in sports be it football or cricket, and an appeal to musical instruments. Sketching is a welcome addition to the list.
Dr. Irum Sabir Ali
Faculty Advisor
I am Dr. Irum Sabir Ali, a graduate of Khyber Medical College (2001), with MRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Fellowship from CPSP after training at Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar. I joined Khyber Teaching Hospital in 2017 and completed an International Fellowship in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery in Wales. As a supervisor for the Breast Surgery Fellowship program, I am committed to establishing a center of excellence for breast cancer services in the public sector. As Chair of the Literary Society at KMC, I strive to guide and motivate students to reach their professional potential.

Hi, I’m Muhammad Ahmad, class of 2026 at KMC. As a member of the Student Research Committee and the KMC Surgery Interest Group, I’m passionate about contributing to both research and clinical learning. In my free time, I enjoy exploring new interests, whether it’s trying out new recipes, reading, or simply unwinding with a gaming session.

This is Farah Afridi, a proud student of the class of 2028 and am thrilled to introduce myself as a new and confident member of the SRC podcast! With my background in coordination and media for the SRC, I bring a passion for engaging discussions and insightful content. I earned my MBBS from Khyber Medical College and later pursued an MPhil from the National University of Science and Technology. With a passion for pathology and medical education, I am committed to advancing knowledge and fostering excellence in the field.
Dr. Suleman Elahi

I am Dr. Suleman Elahi Malik, an Assistant Professor and proud alumnus of the Class of 2011. I hold an MBBS, along with dual FCPS specializations in Medicine and Endocrinology, complemented by international certifications such as SCE Endocrinology and Diabetes (RCP-UK) and EBEEDM. As an IDF Certified Diabetes Specialist, I am dedicated to advancing clinical practice, research, and medical education in the field of endocrinology.
