Event Report:
MIG-KMC organized an extensive workshop on “Electrolytes Imbalance (Potassium Chapter)” , which was presented by Asst. Prof Dr.Aleina Badshah, Department of Medicine KTH.
The workshop started at 10:30 am, initiated by an introductory presentation by Dr.Aleina Badshah.
She delivered a comprehensive presentation explaining important electroytes, particularly potassium homeostasis. After that, Dr.Haroon gave a practical demonstration of the fluids used for the treatment of electrolyte imbalance which included normal saline, insulin and potassium solution.
Subsequently, the workshop progressed into a group activity. The Group activity was held in Med-D Demonstration Room. The students were divided into the groups .CBLs and interactive sessions were conducted over there. Different scenarios were distributed among the students and every group presented their case. Dr. Aleina Badshah, Dr.Haroon, Dr.Iqbal Haider and Dr. Zahid ullah Khan Marwat gave their feedback and critique on every case presentation.
Finally the event was concluded by the principal In charge Inam-Ul- Haq from 4th year, who delivered a speech expressing his heartfelt gratitude for his team’s efforts . The Secretary In charge Ubaid Ullah from final year, Information In charge Areeba Hafeez from 3rd year and Khushbakht Noor from Final Year were included in the team.
