Event Report:
On 12th of April 2023, MIG-KMC organised a workshop related to diabetes. Considering the high prevalence of this disease in the fasting population, the session began with a lecture on “Management of diabetes in Ramadan” delivered by Dr.Suleman Elahi Malik along with practical scenarios.
In the latter part of the event “Case Based Learning(CBL)” technique was adopted with five teams participating in the activity. Each team consisted of learning enthusiasts from third year medical students to final year students supervised by extremely helpful TMOs of Medicine. Each team collectively and interactively dissected their case to present it to the jury consisting of senior consultants namely Dr Aliena Badshah and Dr Suleiman Elahi Malik. The activity provided students with an inclusive environment of teamwork with an opportunity to learn clinical and presentation skills through a standardised pattern. The event concluded by distributing the cash prizes to the top three teams. The event was moderated and planned by the final year students in capacity of the members of the executive board of MIG
