Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has launched its first anti-rape cell, the third of its kind in Pakistan, located at Khyber Medical College in Peshawar.

Established with support from the UNFPA Pakistan, the Legal Aid Society, and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government, the cell provides integrated medical, legal, and police assistance for victims.

Key figures at the launch included Khyber Medical College Dean 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐦𝐮𝐝 𝐀𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐳𝐞𝐛 and UNFPA’s Dr. Rubina Ali, who emphasized the importance of timely justice for victims.

Dean #KMC mentioned that the institution focuses on providing forensic services, conducting research, and training healthcare professionals to help victims compassionately and skillfully.
